Modern Public School, Chandannagar is a Co-Educational English Medium School established in the year 2011. The School is a unit of S.N. Basu Memorial Educational Trust, registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882. The School is established by the management of Jack and Jill Montessori, which has been imparting education to the preschool children and has become the first name to the people of Chandannagar. The school provides quality education through highly trained teachers and digital class rooms. The school is located in a serene environment with spacious class rooms, laboratories, library and playground. It is open to all students irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Jack and Jill Montessori
Jack and Jill Montessori, Chandannagar is a Co- Educational English Medium Pre-School establised on 3rd May 1995.It is a unit of S. N. Basu Memorial Educational Trust, registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882. Jack and Jill Montessori is based on the Montessori method of teaching invented by Madam Maria Montessori of Italy. This method is world-wide accepted as an ideal method of developing the child of Pre School stage between 2 plus and 3 plus years of age for Play & Nursery, 3 plus to 4 plus years of age for Lower Kindergarten and 4 plus to 5 plus years of age for Upper Kindergarten class. The school has been conducted by Mrs. Nupur Das, successfully at Dhanbad and presently is being conducted in Chandanangar from 1995 as per the guidance of Late Basanti Basu, who had received her Diploma of Montessori method of education in 1954 from Mr. A. M. JOOSTEN, Director of Indian Montessori Training Course, a close associate of Madam Maria Montessori. Making a modest beginning on 3rd May, 1995 with five students on the rolls, Jack & Jill Montessori at Chandannagar has taken rapid strides within a short span.
